Study Leave for Summer 2018 Series Examinations from Mita Shah

Arrangements for the summer exams for students are as follows:

Exam Timetable

• You are able to view your own, personalized, exam timetables via CEDAR, listed under ‘Exam Timetable’ on the left-hand menu.
• Please note that timetables are not yet complete on Cedar. All exams dates can be viewed, but room details and seat allocations are not complete. Similarly, not all access arrangements are in place. Therefore, you should continue to check Cedar for further details.
• Please also remember to read your Exams Handbook for important exam information.

Study Leave

• You are only entitled to half a day’s study leave for independent study in the morning prior to an afternoon exam.
• You should therefore attend any afternoon lessons you have following a morning exam.
• CEDAR will show morning Study Leave Sessions as V.
• You are able to view your own Study Leave Sessions via CEDAR on the ‘Attendance – Week Grid’ view.

Lessons & Tutorials

• Tutorials for GCSE and AS students will continue until this Friday 11th May.
• Tutorials for A-Level students will continue until Friday 25th May (last day before half term).
• GCSE lessons will only continue until the last exam in each subject.
• AS lessons will only continue until the last exam in each subject and then resume on 11th June. (Registers will be edited so that they don’t show on CEDAR for marking after the last exam in each GCSE/AS subject up to 25th May)
• A-Level lessons will run as normal until Friday 25th May (last day before half term).
• Lessons will resume on Monday 11th June until the end of term on Friday 6th July for Year 12 students (AS level and vocational).
• Year 12 VOC students will continue with lessons as normal until 25th May, and then resume on 11th June.
• Year 13 VOC students will be marked with X on registers once they have completed all their work and are no longer required to attend classes and tutorials.

Half term, Revision Week & INSET Day

• Friday 25th May is the last day before half term.
• The week after half term (4-8th June) is Revision Week for students.
• No lessons will take place during Revision Week. However, vocational students may have to attend classes – if this applies to you, you will be informed individually by your subject staff.
• Exams will continue to take place this week.
• Revision sessions may also be arranged during this week.
• College is closed Friday 15th June due to a staff INSET day, though exams will continue as normal. Study areas within college, including The Know, will be closed.
