A huge thanks to everyone who has been training and fund-raising for Sunday’s 10K. I’ll start with the fund-raising link so those not taking part don’t have to read the whole item!
Please support Team Pinnacle in trying to raise as much as we can for The Christie and Maggie’s Oldham. This link https://www.justgiving.com/companyteams/Pinnacle2019 takes you to our team page where you can choose a colleague to sponsor or donate via one or both of the generic ‘Pinnacle Fundraising’ links. Anyone can share these links, so please do encourage others to support us too!
If you’re taking part, hopefully you have collected your t-shirt or vest from Karen Bennett, or dug out last year’s to wear again. We are meeting from 1.15pm on Sunday, at Albert Square, in front of the Town Hall in Manchester, at the right hand side as you face the Town Hall. Please arrive in good time for us to take a few pictures of the team together before we move off to the starting area in the ‘Green Wave’ (which we can all join, even if you have been sent a blue running number).
Our start time is 2.30pm and there is a gathering organised by Maggie’s in The Oast House in Crown Square, Spinningfield, from 3-6pm – just turn up. Family and friends welcome too, of course. There’s also the offer of a free post-event massage in the Tim Bacon Foundation tent (by the statue in front of the Town Hall – where Maggie’s are based). Finally, if you’d like to join Maggie’s cheerleaders to cheer us on, they will be on the corner of Sir Matt Busby Way and Chester Road (near Manchester United’s ground).
We’ll share details of how to pay in sponsor money that has been collected as cash with paper sponsor forms next week, but the Finance Team can take this from you from Monday if you’d prefer to hand it in sooner rather than later.
Thanks again to everyone involved and a special thanks to Karen Bennett for all the extra help in making sure all the spare places found new homes and t-shirts were ordered, amongst many other things!
Good luck everyone – see you on Sunday!
